Joaillerie Paris

Scenographies & Art Direction | Summer 2024

“At Christie’s Paris, I created a dreamlike world between India and Europe, where animals, delicately adorned with jewellery, appear within a refined and ethereal setting.”

For the June 2024 edition of Christie’s Paris Joaillerie, Tatiana de Nicolay created the scenography for the exhibition, turning the viewing into an immersive and quietly poetic experience. The design unfolds as a lush, plant-filled world where animals, delicately adorned with jewellery, appear among the drawings, keeping the focus on craftsmanship.

The selection brings together 260 pieces, moving from Art Deco icons like long sautoirs to the bold, luminous language of the 1970s, with Van Cleef and Arpels. The scenography supports this “time travel” spirit: a refined garden like atmosphere that lets each jewel read as both an object of desire and a small fragment of design history.
