Mathilde and friends in Paris
Scenography | Winter 2026

“This sale is, for me, an opportunity to share all the positive and benevolent energy that the publication of my book has inspired. What a joy. The idea is to bring together friends and a chosen family around a shared vision of Paris and of beauty, in order to create a project filled with joy,” as expressed by Mathilde Favier herself.
For Mathilde and friends in Paris at Christie's Paris, Tatiana and her team conceived a scenography rooted in intimacy and storytelling, translating Mathilde Favier’s personal universe into a spatial experience. At the heart of the project was a gesture of amplification: they photographed the boards from her own Dior office —layered with handwritten notes, letters from friends, personal photographs, and cherished mementos—and transformed them into monumental wall installations. These compositions became immersive backdrops, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the emotional and aesthetic fabric of her life, where friendships, memories, and objects intertwine with effortless elegance."

This visual narrative was complemented by fragments of text drawn from Mathilde’s own handwriting, delicately integrated into the space as quiet declarations of her love for Paris. The scenography unfolded as a series of intimate tableaux, balancing curated display with a sense of spontaneity, where fashion pieces, objects, and art pieces coexisted in a fluid dialogue. By elevating the deeply personal into a collective experience, the exhibition captured the essence of her world—vibrant, poetic, and unmistakably Parisian—where style is not defined by possession, but by sensibility and spirit.
